Moon + Crow Collaborative is a shared creative and healing-centered collaboration between Esperanza Dodge and Monica Villanueva Holmes, two New Mexico–based Healing Arts Facilitators whose work centers art, wellness, and care within community.
Esperanza Dodge is a Healing Arts Facilitator and mixed media artist based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her work grows out of more than twenty years of community-based practice in reproductive justice, birth justice, creative care, and program development. Her artistic practice is rooted in collage and mixed media, emphasizing intuition, layering, and personal symbolism rather than technical skill. Across both her studio work and the spaces she facilitates, Esperanza uses accessible creative processes to support reflection, self-inquiry, connection, and healing, particularly for people who spend much of their lives caring for others.
Monica Villanueva Holmes is a Healing Arts Facilitator based in Española and Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the owner of The Crafty Crow NM. Her work centers culturally grounded creative practice with youth, families, and caregivers, and is informed by ancestral knowledge, ceremony, and holistic approaches to wellbeing. Monica brings extensive experience working with birthworkers and community-based spaces and frames art-making as a way to support learning, empowerment, healing, and connection across generations.
Together, Esperanza and Monica bring complementary experience in creative facilitation, mixed media art, cultural knowledge, and care-centered community engagement. Their collaboration is grounded in long-standing relationships within birthworker, caregiver, BIPOC, family, and youth-serving communities across New Mexico.
